Our story
Trail therapy has been running in Scotland since 2021. With the Tweed Valley's strong connection with bikes, it seemed like a significant gap that needed filling, as there wasn't a Trail Therapy hub in the valley. Tweed Valley Trail Therapy was born to address this need and bring our unique approach to well-being to the local community in the Scottish Borders.

Balance and Well-being through mountain biking
Mountain biking is a powerful tool for improving well-being. Taking place outdoors, immersed in nature, it combines mental and physical health benefits. It can be a social or solitary activity, tapping into a sense of fun and adventure, providing a break from day-to-day life, and a place where you can lose yourself in the moment. We use mountain biking, the outdoors and flow therapy to assist mental and physical wellbeing.

Expressive arts for enhanced well-being
At Tweed Valley Trail Therapy, we aim to expand our trail therapy offerings by combining creative activities within our sessions, both specifically and interwovenly. Expressive arts can be a great way to process thoughts, capture moments, and challenge ways of thinking. Our sessions aren't about turning people into fantastic artists but about providing tools to aid well-being and self-expression. That's not to say you won't learn techniques along the way, but the end product of your creative exercise is for you and to help you on your journey. Everyone, regardless of artistic experience, can gain something new.

Our core values

At Tweed Valley Trail Therapy, we believe we're here to guide you through opening up the outdoors around us, giving you the tools to help you know your path to improved well-being. We aren't teachers; we're here to learn alongside you, as everyone's journey is different. Our core values of support, learning, and respect for individual journeys influence how we work with clients, ensuring a tailored and empowering therapeutic experience.
